My Favorite Disney Movies!! (and yes multiple because I could never chose just one!)
My Favorite Disney Movies!!!!
Most people when they think of Disney they usually think of Disney movies in addition to the theme parks. Growing up Disney movies were a staple in my house especially watching them the classic way, on VHS tape. My older sister and I would always be watching Disney movies together and it was always such a fun time!
Today I still have all of my VHS tapes and still watch them to this day. There honestly isn’t anything better then rewinding the tapes and seeing the trailers for Disney movies from the 90’s. Well I’m going to highlight a few of my favorite Disney movies from four categories classic Disney (original Walt Disney Studio animation), Disney renaissance (so think late 80’s through early 90’s), Disney Princess movie, and Disney Pixar film.
#1: Classic Disney or Golden Age
Dumbo (1941)
This movie is such a cute story about Dumbo the elephant born with the big floppy ears who learned how to fly. I remember watching this as a kid and I just loved how cute Dumbo was with his huge ears but cute blue eyes. This was just remade into a live action film released in March that I loved how they took the original story and transformed it but also kept the heart of the story the same.
#2: Disney Renaissance
The Lion King (1994)
This movie is one of the ones my sister and I would watch on repeat constantly. It is also her favorite renaissance period movie and so it makes sense that it’s mine too! I just love the songs, the story, the characters just honestly everything about this movie! This is also getting a live action or should I say CGI remake which I’m a little unsure about because I just don’t think it can compete with the original but I will go see it July 19th (release date).
#3. Disney Princess
Tangled (2011)
This is an amazing Disney princess film! I loved the originality with taking the story of Rapunzel and making it more of an adventure and journey for the character! Also Flynn Rider is my favorite Princess “Prince” I guess you would refer to him as so it works out that this is my favorite princess movie. The music in this film is wonderful and it’s just overall really good!
#4: Disney Pixar Film
Ratatouille (2007)
This movie is so good!! I love food and I love Paris and this movie has both of those things! It’s such an interesting story of a man who can’t cook but meets a rat who loves food and knows how to cook and the two become a team. I just love the music and the scenery and just the overall story is really good! If you haven’t seen it I would highly recommend it!!
