News Release 1st Draft

What has changed after Peer Review:

After the peer review class we were really able to see how the News Release read and what areas of it we could edit and improve upon. There were a few grammar issues that we adjusted and also some more information that we chose to include after listening to the reviews of the first draft. From the first draft to the final, the length changed to be longer and this was due to us wanting to include some more testimonials from students that utilize the company to show the person reading the news release how valued our product is. We also took the feedback of whether or not we wanted this news release to be for the students purchasing the notes or those who wanted to be hired to the company to sell their notes, and we decided that just tailoring the information to the students wanting to get paid for their notes was the best option. Although in our final we did end up including the testimonial of the student who purchased the notes to show the success rate of the company and how it does benefit everyone involved.

My Role in the Finished New’s Release:

As we got to the final version of this news release the role that I took on was to ensure that someone who read this was not too overwhelmed by the amount of information included but could still clearly see what our company was all about. I was able to go through and proof read the edits that Jack had made and included by own and then once that was completed we both communicated to make sure it all looked good. I think for this project it was a very collaborative effort and my partner and I both took on the various roles as needed and it was never one person or the other doing something. We made sure that if someone made an edit then the other person would go back through and approve or suggest something instead. I was happy with the decision to both do the work equally which I believe helped to make the final product what it was.
