My Codeacademy Achievements 

Before this three week introduction into the world of coding I knew nothing about it. This was all something very new to me and I was honestly very worried that I would have absolutely no idea what I was doing, however with Codeacademy my fears of not knowing what to do went away. I loved how easy and simple the site in helping teach the foundations that go into coding a website. The step by step directions provided were so helpful and I appreciated that for each lesson you had multiple attempts to input the correct code and even if you were struggling they would offer you hints to help you. This made it so user friendly and pretty simple for someone like me who had no idea what coding consisted of before.

Coming out of this having completed 13 lessons of Codeacademy I wouldn’t say I have become proficient in coding but I have gained a great appreciation for the people who’s everyday job is to code and create websites for public use. There are so many things one must remember and understand how one code relates to another. I thought it was interesting how there are the style.css and then there is the id.html and how those pages of a site are separate and require different aspects of coding. I never thought of the webpage having layers of code but it turns out it does. All in all this course opened my eyes to something I thought I would never try and I now understand the amount of time and effort that must be given in order to have a correctly formatted website.
