Caitlyn, I visited your page today and looked at your entries. I love the commentary that you chose about the novel. Jen also included an entry with this excerpt from The British Library on Lucy as portraying the “New Woman.” I did not even think of analyzing Lucy in this context, until I saw both Jen and your entries. In my entry, I included this photo of the 1958 film adaptation as well. I think this way of advertising the story is so intriguing. Good work!
I really enjoyed how you brought the contemporary versions of Dracula into your commonplace book entry by including the pictures from a more modern version of the movie. I think it adds something to having the criticism or quotes from the novel by reminding people that the novel is still something that people think about and use for inspiration now. I also looked at how women were depicted in the novel but from a different place in the writing than you did which made reading your quotes very interesting.
