DS106:Selfie with your Pet

 

This is my dog Lexi. She was apart of my family for 11 years for unfortunately passed away suddenly on March 21st 2018. This is one of the last selfies that I got to take with her. Lexi was my best friend and she meant so much to me. I took so many pictures with her and when looking for a selfie I couldn’t believe that this was the last “good” selfie I had taken with her. Going away to college meant that I would no longer see her everyday but I could have never predicted that I would lose her while I was at school. When you have a pet you never want to think that someday they will leave you. Over the past year I have learned to accept that she is longer here and that I can’t give her a hug anymore. Everyday I think of her but I try to think about all the happy memories spent with her and that I know she is watching over me somewhere. For those who currently still have a pet whether it be a dog or a cat, make sure you appreciate them everyday and give them all the love and attention they deserve.
